Coexistence with DayDream and Oculus¶
Note¶
To avoid initialization conflicts on devices which support both Daydream, Oculus, and Vive-based VR, build separate APKs with different package names, targeting only one of the DayDream, OculusVR, and Vive SDKs in the respective APK.
Please remember to enable only one of the DayDream, Oculus, and Vive SDKs at each time.
The AndroidManifest.xml location¶
Please put your customized AndroidManifest.xml under the folder “Assets/WaveVR/Platform/Android/Customize/”. We will copy the file to “Assets/Plugins/Android” at build time and deleted the copy file after the build is completed.
If you did not customized the AndroidManifest.xml, the AndroidManifest.xml under the folder “Assets/WaveVR/Platform/Android/” will be used.
Upgrade to new SDK process¶
Sometimes the SDK aar files locations will be changed and the compile may fail after upgrading to the new SDk. Please follow the SOP below to upgrade to the new SDK.
How do I fix compile or build errors after importing a custom package?
Enable aar files if you need to change the Vive SDK folder location¶
If you want to management the aar location on your own and changed the Vive SDK aar files location, please remember to enable the aar files manually.
Howerver, if you changed the Vive SDK aar files location, the co-existence with DayDream and Oculus will be no longer supported.
